Northeast Corridor Design Standards
Owner
City of San Antonio

The Northeast Corridor, including Perrin Beitel and Nacogdoches Road north of I-410, has great potential as a near-urban corridor. We worked to develop design standards, in conjunction with a steering committee and public input, which will shape the future of the corridor. In addition to the standards themselves, our work identified character areas for specific identity development. We created renderings and other support material for the city and developers to envision future development.
The project also represents a new approach for the city’s design standards: a flexible points-based approach which rewards implementation of more costly (yet effective) solutions, while allowing for adaptation to sites of varying size and complexity.
